Stator Winding Services

Stator winding burns do not only depend on a single reason. Reasons such as electric fluctutations, failure of one of the phases, contactor failures cause stator winding burns.

These reasons are presented below in detail;

Stator and rotor shall be subjected to short-circuit control. In the event of short circuit detection, it will be reported to your party. (Short circuit detection is made by using Pruflex after stator and rotor are cleaned completely.)


There are 5 main faults in motor windings.

Inter-thread short circuit: Short circuit  among the threads of the same bobbin.
Inter-bobbin short circuit: Short circuit among the bobbins in the same phase
Inter-phase short circuit: Short circuit among the bobbins of different phases
Ground faults: Isolation weaking between phase and earth or bobbin and earth.
Inductions among threads.

When bobbins formed with proper winding number and proper quality threads are placed properly into the motor, the inductance between phases and thus the impedance values are expected to be in balance. In the case of a short circuit inter-thred or inter-phase, there will be changes in inductance and this will break the impedance’s and phase angle’s balance between the phases.

When there are fractures or cracks in the short circuit bars in the rotor, this will cause the strain, over heating in take-off moment. Fractures or cracks in the bars result in inductance loss in stator and rotor. This situation cause a vibration and heating around the rotor bars while operation. And this paves the way for other problems in the other bars.

Stator and rotor are subjected to technical measurement with Prufrex in order to prevent the time and labor loss resulted from such rotor and stator problems. It is recommended not to wind the stators in which a short circuit is detected as a result of our measurements.

Winding errors might be created based on isolation’s getting old, impurity, overheating, decreasing to two phases, use of damaged bobbin or material, lamination or imbalance among the phases. Many of these defects can be created in process of time.

The stators, wound by our company, are tested against the defect situations, which are mentioned above under 5 main articles, before delivery.

As it is known, the least isolation resistance is 5 Meg-ohm recommended in IEEE-43-2000. The isolation resistance measured in the stators wound by our company is above the normal values. All these technical measurements are performed with our sensitive electronic insturments and delivered in a problem-free condition.


Stators are wound by using ISO 9001 and TSI certified KAVI magnet wire.

The isolation material used in final is non-spalling, air dried, non-fructuring and non-cracking special chemical mixture. Fireproof glassgiber Europe presbant is used as stator isolation.


The compressors will be delivered to our machine shops and will be received from it as well. Our thermistors are INT69 Motor Protect compatible. Please state your particular thermistor requests.
